Soirée française
with the music of Francis Poulenc (1899-1963)

Beauty is in the air and never has it been more FRENCH! Poulenc’s music is an effervescent cocktail of spontaneous lyricism and sensuous harmony . . . irreverent wit and mysterious introspection. Poulenc can move us from laughter to tears and back again within seconds! Featuring his youthful Mouvement perpétuels (1918), the Sonata pour clarinette et basson (1922), and one of his last and most fanciful works, the Sonate pour clarinette et piano (1962).

A free concert event featuring
Dr. Caitlin Beare, clarinet
Dr. Scott Pool, bassoon
and pianist/host, Paul Erickson
Friday, June 6th at 7pm
