Downtown Corpus Christi
Corpus Christi Downtown Management District
The Corpus Christi Downtown Management District (CCDMD), established in 1993, is a professional municipal district self-governed by a 17-person Board of Directors, and represents property owners and stakeholders within the area bounded by Furman Avenue to I-37, and Lower Broadway to Corpus Christi marina L and T-heads, known as Marina Arts District. Since its inception, CCDMD has facilitated and championed several public and private projects that continue to transform Downtown Corpus Christi. CCDMD is responsible for providing enhanced cleaning, beautification and safety services, developing and improving the district through marketing and promotion of events and businesses, and addressing critical issues that impact the success of the district and greater downtown area.
In 2023, the property owners voted to renew the district and reauthorize the services provided by CCDMD through 2033. In 2024, CCDMD successfully expanded their services into South Downtown, formerly Water’s Edge.
