Hilliard Law Invites Coastal Bend Families to Free "Safe & Sound" Family Fun Night
Firetruck tours, hands-on safety demonstrations, free food and giveaways highlight a community celebration kicking off National Child Safety and Protection Month.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (October 27, 2026) Hilliard Law is inviting families across the Coastal Bend to its free "Safe & Sound" Family Fun Night on Wednesday, November 4, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Water Street parking lot at Hilliard Law, 719 S. Shoreline Blvd. The event kicks off National Child Safety and Protection Month with an evening of hands-on fun built around keeping kids safe.
Families can climb aboard a Corpus Christi Fire Department ladder truck, meet officers from the Corpus Christi Police Department, and learn Hands-Only CPR from the American Heart Association. Child passenger safety experts from Driscoll Children's Hospital Injury Prevention Program will be on site to answer car seat questions and schedule car seat checks, and families can enter a drawing to win one of three new car seats courtesy of Hilliard Law. Winners will be contacted via text/email the following day.
"Keeping kids safe is a job our whole community shares," said Catherine Hilliard, partner at Hilliard Law and a Coastal Bend mom. "We wanted to create a night where families can have fun together, meet the people who protect our community, and go home with real tools to keep their children safe."
Families can also visit resource booths from the American Red Cross, The Purple Door, Lice Angels, and Esperanza de Tejas, which will distribute diapers and wipes, while supplies last. The Corpus Christi Ice Rays will bring mascot Stinger Ray and ticket vouchers, and the Snowie Bus will have snowies for purchase. Hilliard Law will provide free hot dogs, and the first 100 families will receive a free swag bag and roadside safety kit.
Event highlights include:
CCFD ladder truck tours and first responder meet and greets with CCPD
Hands-Only CPR training and kits from the American Heart Association
Car seat safety questions answered and car seat checks scheduled by Driscoll Children's Hospital Injury Prevention Program
A drawing for three free car seats courtesy of Hilliard Law (winners contacted the following day)
Diaper and wipes distribution from Esperanza de Tejas (while supplies last)
