CCDMD and H-E-B to Hold Press Conference to Kick-off H-E-B Tree Construction with a Volunteer Event

Corpus Christi, Texas – The Corpus Christi Downtown Management District (CCDMD) and H-E-B announce a press conference scheduled for Friday, November 21, 2025, at 10:30 AM, marking the official kickoff of construction for this year’s H-E-B Christmas Tree. The event will also outline the festivities leading up to the annual lighting ceremony on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Water’s Edge Park.

Alongside the announcement, H-E-B Partners will be on-site, lending their time and energy as preparations for the beloved holiday tradition get underway.

Now in its eighth consecutive year at Water’s Edge Park, the H-E-B Christmas Tree continues to be a symbol of partnership and celebration. Standing 66 feet tall, the tree is made up of 195 panels and illuminated by nearly 6,000 lights, complemented by approximately 1,500 ornaments.

“Kicking off the build of the H-E-B Christmas Tree is a special moment for us,” said Arlene Medrano, Executive Director of the CCDMD. “Each year, this tradition brings our community together in a meaningful way. We’re grateful for H-E-B’s continued support and for the Downtown Management District team whose hard work helps create an experience that so many families look forward to.”

Media attendance is welcome and appreciated. Details on CCDMD’s Holiday Series can be found on our website and social media pages. All outdoor activities are subject to weather conditions.
