CCTX Marathon Weekend to Bring Runners Through Downtown Corpus Christi

Corpus Christi, TX — Hundreds of runners are expected to pass through Downtown Corpus Christi during the CCTX Marathon Weekend, taking place December 27–28, 2025. 

The 2025 CCTX Marathon Weekend features a full slate of races beginning with the 5K Run at 7:00 AM on Saturday, December 27, followed by the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and Half Marathon Relay at 7:00 AM on Sunday, December 28. The full marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifying race, attracting runners from across Texas, the US and internationally who are seeking a qualifying time. 

“Downtown Corpus Christi is proud to be part of this historic event that highlights our city and brings positive energy to the heart of downtown,” said Arlene Medrano, Executive Director of the Downtown Corpus Christi Management District. “We look forward to welcoming runners and spectators and supporting local businesses throughout the race weekend.” 

All races will begin at the Hilliard Center and travel through scenic areas of Corpus Christi, including waterfront views and Downtown Corpus Christi, which will serve as part of the marathon and half marathon routes. 

“We’re thrilled with the turnout so far,” said Victor Betancourt, event organizer. “With strong interest already shown, we’re encouraging runners to register early, as online registration will close on December 24. Onsite registration will be available for the Saturday 5K only, and there will be no onsite registration for Sunday’s events. There’s still room for 500 more participants to be part of this unforgettable experience.”
