Downtown Corpus Christi Kicks Off a Week of Holiday Celebrations with H-E-B Tree Star Placement Ceremony.

Corpus Christi, Texas- The Corpus Christi Downtown Management District is launching a festive week of holiday events beginning with the H-E-B Christmas Tree Star Placement Ceremony on Tuesday, December 2 from 10-10:30 AM at Water’s Edge Park. This ceremony keeps the holiday spirit going and carries into full weekend of holiday festivities with the H-E-B Christmas Tree Lighting and the Illuminated Boat Parade, presented by the Port of Corpus Christi.

“The Star Placement ceremony is a special moment for our community. It marks the beginning of a holiday week that brings families, visitors, and businesses together in Downtown Corpus Christi. We’re grateful for H-E-B and their continued support and commitment to creating traditions for the Coastal Bend,” says Arlene Medrano, Executive Director of the Corpus Christi Downtown Management District.

Following the Star Placement, holiday festivities continue throughout the week leading up to Saturday, December 6, at Water’s Edge Park from 4-6:30 PM with the H-E-B Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:30 PM. Visitors can enjoy live music, vendors, food trucks, and photos with Santa beginning at 4:00 PM. Immediately after the lighting, the Illuminated Boat Parade, presented by the Port of Corpus Christi, will set sail at 7:00 PM until 9 PM, lighting up the marina with dazzling boats decorated in holiday lights.

Holiday festivities continue on Sunday, December 7, with the Holiday Market at BUS, offering local vendors from 2-7 PM.

All events are free, family-friendly, and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, and weather-appropriate gear.

All outdoor events are weather permitting.
