Happening today, rain or shine! DMD’s First Friday ArtWalk Presented by H-E-B

WHEN: Friday, May 1, 2026 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM 

WHERE: Downtown Corpus Christi 

WHAT: DMD's First Friday ArtWalk Presented by H-E-B welcomes Latin Grammy- nominated, Grupo Vidal, delivering the “Vidal Experience” to Peoples St. Find us at the intersection of Peoples St. & Chaparral St. 

Highlights of May First Friday ArtWalk presented by H-E-B include: 

  • Corona Premier Music Stage hosted by CCDMD, will feature an electrifying lineup with opening act Amos Burr and the Stickerburrs (6:00-7:15 PM) —bringing their Texas swing, Cajun fiddling, and country sound—followed by Latin Grammy-nominated Grupo Vidal, delivering their dynamic “Vidal Experience” to downtown audiences from 7:30 – 930 PM. Photo Op 9:35-9:50 PM. Intersection of Peoples St. & Chaparral St. 
  • Downtown Pirate Quest (Downtown Treasure Hunt) Invites guests of all ages to experience First Friday ArtWalk through an interactive digital adventure. Participants can scan QR codes at locations throughout downtown to collect “treasure,” take part in themed activities and earn entries into a to win one of five 4-packs of all-you-can-ride Buc Days Carnival wristbands! Winners will be notified Monday, May 4. Stop by 20/20 Vintage, 423 Lomax St., to receive a 2026 Pirate Quest commemorative bandana (image attached)!

  • Dress like a pirate – costumes are encouraged! 

Other features include over 200 pop-up vendors, over 25 food trucks, and live entertainment throughout nine blocks and inside 18 participating downtown businesses.

ABOUT CCDMD 

The Corpus Christi Downtown Management District (CCDMD), established in 1993, is a professional municipal district, representing property owners and stakeholders within the area bounded by Furman Avenue to I-37, and Lower Broadway to Corpus Christi marina L and T-heads, known as Marina Arts District. In 2023, the property owners voted to renew the district through 2033. The vision of the CCDMD is to create the most vibrant downtown on the Gulf Coast.
