Holiday Magic Returns to Downtown Corpus Christi
Corpus Christi, Texas – The Corpus Christi Downtown Management District (CCDMD) is thrilled to announce the 2025 Downtown Holiday Series schedule starting early November through December. Events include but are not limited to two tree lightings, a boat parade, letters to Santa, decorating contests, holiday lights and décor, and more!
The events and holiday installations are as follows:
• The Port of Corpus Christi’s Holiday Tree in Artesian Park + Photos with Santa on November 7 during November’s First Friday ArtWalk. DMD will host an official tree lighting ceremony at 7PM. The tree will be up from November through December, giving families plenty of opportunities to take holiday photos with the charming 18-foot tree. In conjunction with the Holiday Tree, Winter Wonderland in Artesian Park sponsored by the Downtown Revitalization Alliance will be lit up, marking the start of the holiday season.
• The Holiday Market on Peppermint Lane presented by Corpus Christi Downtown Management District, located at BUS, 702 N Chaparral Street, turns Downtown into the holiday shopping headquarters on Sunday’s for five weeks from November 16 until December 21, 2-7PM. The Holiday Market on Peppermint Lane will host live entertainment, a variety of pop-up vendors, and family holiday photo opportunities.
• The Peppermint Lane presented by AEP Texas located on Chaparral Street lights up our historic main street and makes it charming for all! DMD will host the Lighting Ceremony of Peppermint Lane on Sunday, November 16 at 6:30PM at BUS, 702 N. Chaparral St. The public is invited to attend the lighting ceremony and witness the unveiling of 36 new 6’ Candy Cane Light Pole Decorations, each illuminated by 16 LED bulbs!
• Letters to Santa presented by Kleberg Bank, located at Street Corner Kitchen, 601 N. Water St., creates a delightful experience for children wishing to mail their special letters to Santa Clause! Starting November 16, children are invited to drop their letters to Santa in the magical mailbox. Be sure to include a return address- Santa just might write back!
• Mayor’s Sparkling Christmas Lights Contest powered by AEP Foundation is a community event that challenges downtown businesses to decorate their exterior storefronts throughout November for a chance to win cash prizes. On December 5, a panel of special guest judges will vote on winners and runner ups for each of the five categories from 6-10PM during December’s First Friday ArtWalk.
• Holidays on the Harbor: Featuring The H-E-B Christmas Tree and The Illuminated Boat Parade presented by The Port of Corpus Christi will be held on Saturday, December 6. The event begins at 4PM with a variety of food trucks and dozens of vendors, live music, and photos with Santa. The H-E-B Christmas Tree lighting ceremony starts at 5:30PM at Water’s Edge Park. Following the ceremony, the Illuminated Boat Parade takes off at 7PM where parade attendees are invited to watch from the seawall between Lawrence Street T-head and Coopers Alley L-head. Water vessels of all shapes and sizes are encouraged to participate and registration closes November 28.
• Holly Jolly Bar Hop presented by the Downtown Management District, will feature new holiday drink specials at multiple downtown bars & restaurants from December 12th – 23rd. Take part in this exciting bar hop and be sure to stay on the lookout for a fun surprise that will be available to participants!
