Temporary Road Closures during ArtWalk on March 7, 2025
Several streets will be temporarily closed to traffic on Friday, March 7, 2025, with closure procedures starting at 11:30am and in place by 2:00pm. Roads will reopen after 11:30pm due to First Friday ArtWalk.
Be advised that the Bayfront exit will be closed to traffic coming southbound from US 181 into Downtown starting at 11:00am Friday, March 7, until 1:00am Saturday, March 8. Plan routes accordingly.
The expected street closures are as follows:
- Taylor Street will be closed from Mesquite to Chaparral Streets
- Chaparral Street will be closed from Taylor Street to Lomax Street with Lawrence and Schatzell Streets remaining open for drive-through traffic
- Peoples Street will be closed from Mesquite to Water Streets
- Starr Street will be closed from Mesquite Street to Water Street
In addition, there will be police units stationed throughout the footprint as indicated on the map as blue stars.
Attached below is the map detailing road closures and event footprint in which vehicles are susceptible for towing. Please note there will be a No Parking Plan in effect, in which No Parking signs will be posted within the road closure boundaries on Thursday, March 6, at 2:00pm. Towing will be enforced on Friday, March 7, beginning at 2:00pm.
