Mural Fest presented by Corpus Christi Medical Center Returns with Five New Murals in Downtown Corpus Christi
Corpus Christi, Texas – The 2025 Downtown Corpus Christi Mural Fest, presented by Corpus Christi Medical Center, returns for its fourth consecutive year, and will bring five new, large-scale murals to Downtown Corpus Christi’s South Downtown District. The Corpus Christi Downtown Management District (CCDMD) is producing the week-long festival, starting on Sunday, June 1st with Community Kick-Off Day presented by H-E-B from 10:00AM-1:00PM, followed by live artist painting all week long, leading up to Mural Fest x ArtWalk hosted on Friday, June 6th in conjunction the monthly First Friday ArtWalk from 6:00PM-10:00PM, and Mural Dedication Block Party presented by Thomas J. Henry on Saturday, June 7th from 3:00PM-9:00PM.
The artist line-up and the walls to be painted for the 2025 Downtown Corpus Christi Mural Fest, include:
- Chris Bingham, Dallas, Texas – Mariposa Park, 325 S Chaparral Street
- FoxySwine, Atlanta, Georgia – Post Acute Medical (PAM) Health Rehabilitation Hospital Garage, 498 Born Street
- Graham Carraway, Denver, Colorado – CC Old Car Museum, 320 S Chaparral Street
- Mandi Caskey, Columbus, Ohio – Shoreline Terrace Building, 719 S Shoreline Boulevard
- K Space Mural Arts Program, a collective of local artists and students led by Michelle Smith –S Chaparral Bluff Wall, Approximately at 325 S Chaparral Street
On Community Kick-Off Day presented by H-E-B, volunteers may assist with the installation of the K Space Mural Arts Program community mural on the S. Chaparral Bluff wall. Community members interested in painting can volunteer at K Space Contemporary’s volunteer paint days held several days throughout May at 623 N Chaparral Street:
- May 17th – 11:00AM-3:00PM
- May 18th – 12:00PM-3:00PM
- May 24th – 11:00AM-3:00PM
- May 25th – 12:00PM-3:00PM
- May 31st – 11:00AM-3:00PM
During Mural Fest x ArtWalk, the public can take self-guided tours to see the murals. The festival will also feature regular monthly ArtWalk programming, such as block parties on Chaparral, and Peoples, Starr, and Taylor Streets, and an ArtWalk park party at Artesian Park. The parties will host over 150 pop-up vendors, local food trucks, and live music on the streets and inside select businesses.
The Mural Dedication Block Party presented by Thomas J. Henry will be hosted in South Downtown, featuring an Artist Panel, a Mural dedication tour, and several pop-up vendors, local food trucks, and live music. A full schedule of events will be announced in the coming weeks. All events are weather permitting. Murals produced by the festival are semi-permanent and intended to last for several years.
