Each of the 8 local, Corpus Christi artists was given the freedom to express their creativity and cultural flair within the initial ‘I♥CC’ design.  Collaboratively this mural celebrates our downtown’s deep-rooted culture with: 

• the woman in Dia de los Muertos makeup and attire, 

• the sandcastle and beach ball representing our upbeat and active beach life, 

• the tail of a red fish reflected in the water highlighting our nationally recognized coastal fishing, 

• and finally, the vibrant flowers which compliments the tropical plant life bursting with color throughout our region.  This piece is a demonstration of our city’s local love, and it showcases why “Downtown Corpus Christi is the most vibrant downtown on the Gulf of Mexico.”
