CCDMD and H-E-B to Hold Press Conference to Kick-off H-E-B Tree Construction Volunteer Event
Corpus Christi, Texas – The Corpus Christi Downtown Management District (CCDMD) and H-E-B are pleased to announce a press conference will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 10:30AM, kicking-off the start of construction of the annual H-E-B Christmas Tree and detailing the schedule of events leading up to the lighting ceremony on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Water’s Edge Park. In conjunction with the press conference, over 30 volunteers from the community and H-E-B partners are rolling up their sleeves and getting to work in preparation for the official lighting ceremony. Through CCDMD’s and H-E-B’s longstanding partnership, this will be the 7th consecutive year the H-E-B Christmas Tree has been displayed in Water’s Edge Park. The 66-foot tree is comprised of 195 panels and adorned with nearly 6,000 lights and an estimated 1,500 ornaments. “We are thrilled to mark the start of the H-E-B Tree construction, an exciting milestone that reflects our ongoing commitment to the community during the holidays,” says Daniela Campos, the Communications & Public Relations Coordinator of CCDMD. “This was not only made possible by H-E-B and the City’s dedication to making a positive impact, but by the hands-on efforts of our dedicated volunteers who are helping bring this vision to life." Media presence is kindly encouraged and greatly appreciated. More information about CCDMD’s Holiday Series events to be announced in the upcoming weeks. All outdoor events are weather permitting. ###
