Christel Cuevas, M.D., is a board-certified Interventional Cardiologist with Corpus Christi Heart Clinic. Dr. Cuevas began her medical studies at The University of Texas Medical Branch receiving her Doctorate in Medicine and went on to complete her Internal Medicine internship as well. Dr. Cuevas then completed both her Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology fellowships through the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. During her residency, she received Outstanding Clinic Intern in Internal Medicine and received the John "Jack" Wallace, MD Prize in Cardiology during her medical school training.

Dr. Cuevas is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Cuevas is a Resident Council Representative for the Department of Cardiology, a member of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association and American Medical Women's Association.

Dr. Cuevas has participated and presented in a wide array of research and presentations throughout her career. Dr. Cuevas is proud to be a part of the official Cardiologist for Texas A&M Corpus Christi Athletic Department. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Cuevas welcomes new patients and referrals. When appropriate, the practice provides telehealth visits.
