This piece is a celebration of the aquatic lifestyle in the beach foam of Corpus Christi, wrapping this giant octopus around the entire building and creating an underwater world to explore. Around the corner, a curious diver sets out on an excursion to recover the lost treasures of many before him. Facing the treacherous waters and the imposing giant mollusk standing in his way, he must conquer his fears and find a way to achieve his goal despite the inevitable challenge ahead. Artist Matt Dean, a.k.a. Kiptoe, stands out as a multitalented creator who continues to make his work come to life through his dynamic storytelling and energy that embodies his large-scale murals and videos. He earned a BFA in Illustration and has been a professional mural artist for 7+ years.

After moving across the country to Los Angeles in 2015 to build up his brand of authentic visual flavor on buildings around the city, he then traveled across the globe painting murals all over South America and Europe. His work has attracted the attention of several big-name brands, including; Walt Disney World, TNT, Fortnite, Express Men, WarFrame, and Carrera Sunglasses. Some of his latest works across the USA have spanned over 175 feet long and covered entire sides of civic centers and skateparks to transform these spaces into welcoming and colorful monuments for the cities.
